Our Story

We’re Daan, Joy and our daughter Noé.

During our holidays, we pack up our camper or rent a car, and set out to explore Europe’s wine regions. Not the big names with sleek tasting rooms, but the quiet places. The family-run domains. The ones where tradition still lives in every bottle.

That’s where The Digital Vineyard began — not as a business, but as a heartfelt idea:
What if we could help those honest, hardworking winemakers be seen online,
in exchange for their hospitality and a bunch of good bottles?

Why we can do this

Daan has over ten years of experience building websites, doing SEO, and helping businesses grow online.

He now runs a successful AI agency in the Netherlands — focused on tools like ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot.

That work pays the bills.
But creativity is still his second love. And when it comes to passion?
Wine is the only ‘industry’ he still wants to design for.

So in our free time, we combine our skills and our love for wine
to help small wineries tell their stories — the way they deserve.

Every bottle tells a story. We’re here to help you share it.

A different kind of collaboration

We don’t come with contracts or conditions.
We come with time, care, and a deep respect for your craft.

We offer something that costs nothing — but means a lot:
a website that feels like your winery: warm, simple, true.

In return, all we ask is a place to stay during the build,
and a selection of wines you’re proud of.
You decide what and how much — quality matters more than quantity.

Why we do this

Because we love wine — not just how it tastes,
but what it represents: land, family, patience, story.

Because we believe that even the smallest winery deserves to be found.
And because we know how powerful a story can be — when it’s told well.

There’s no money involved. No hidden agenda. No rush.
Just a wish to connect the digital world
with the soul of traditional winemaking.

Wine is a story. It’s a story of the land, of the people who make it, and of the people who drink it.

Where we’ve been

Over the years, we’ve explored wine regions like Epernay, the Mosel, Franciacorta, and the Douro.

We had planned to visit Bairrada in Portugal in 2025 — but our camper had other ideas.

No worries. There’s always next season.
And many more stories still waiting to be told.

We’d love to add your story to the journey.

We’d love to hear it.
