Hello, I’m Daan.
A shared interest.
A natural fit.
I’m Daan, a web designer based in the Netherlands. My wife and I are parents of two young children and share a love of exploring the world of wine.
My background is in web design and online marketing. My wife and I share an interest in wine: the regions, the craft, the independent businesses and the stories behind the bottles.
Over time, we noticed a familiar gap. An estate could have fascinating wines, a beautiful setting and a compelling story, but a website that barely communicated any of it.
The Digital Vineyard brings those two interests together. We design and build winery websites in exchange for wine and experiences: bottles with a story, a stay at an estate or a day with the people behind the wine.
Why we do this
For us, wine is about the people and places behind each bottle. We want this project to lead to moments we will remember: a conversation in the cellar, a meal at your table or a bottle we open years later.
I bring the skills and tools from my work in web design and technology. By choosing a small number of projects and agreeing the scope in advance, I keep this personal initiative manageable. That gives us room to choose wine and experiences as our reward.
